The Carriage House Campus is a community devoted to Senior Living, encompassing Independent and Assisted living, Short-term rehabilitation and Long-term care. The Carriage House is a 165-bed Medicare/Medicaid-certified health and rehabilitation center.

Occupational Therapy
We provide supervision or assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and monitoring of resident activities to help to ensure their health, safety, and well-being.
Rehabilitation
The Carriage House's Rehabilitation Program is involved in the treatment of disorders of the musculoskeletal system and it’s interaction with physical movement. 
Community
The Carriage House also provides complete skilled nursing and rehabilitation services to meet the post-hospital needs and long-term care needs of our patients and residents.

Resident of the Month
Lena Windt
Lena was born the youngest of three children, and the only daughter, to Virgil and Grace Fredenburg in Essexville, MI on February 11, 1924. Lena left school after the eighth grade so she could work to help her family financially

Did you know that you don’t have to worry about missing a monthly payment at The Carriage House?

We are able to provide you with automatic bill payment directly from a checking or savings account. See Bill for the enrollment.


Refrigeration Regulation

We would like to remind everyone about a State of Michigan regulation for refrigerator use in our facility.

Any food that is brought into our facility that requires refrigeration must be labeled with the owner’s name and the date it was brought into the facility.

All refrigerated food items will be discarded after three days.

Physical Therapy
Physical Therapy is involved in the treatment of disorders of the musculoskeletal system and its interaction with physical movement.

The ultimate goal of physical therapy is to restore maximal functional independence to each individual.


Speech-Language Therapy
Speech-language pathology is the study of disorders that affect a person’s speech, language, cognition, voice disorders, swallowing disorders
and the rehabilitative or corrective treatment of physical and/or cognitive deficits/disorders resulting in difficulty with communication and/or swallowing.


Pain Management
The Carriage House Health & Rehabilitation Center provides a comprehensive pain management
team approach which evaluates, treats and determines individualized interventions to provide pain relief,  manage chronic pain, improve strength and endurance to assist in returning residents to their maximum level of functioning.
